Halcyon Daze

“Halcyon Daze” is a modular lighting installation designed as a response to the inner fluctuations of mood and emotion. The installation is crafted regulation, drawing inspiration from the natural forms, patterns and textures found in nature, and the sensory qualities with which light alters it’s surrounding environment. It is an exploration of overstimulation’s opposite, that immerses the viewer in a sense of grounding calm. The name is a play on the phrase “Halcyon Days”, meaning peaceful times. This is reflected in the installation, which subtly alters the surrounding environment to immerse the viewer, hypnotising the mind into a regulated state.
